Absolutely amazing! These giant redwood trees eclipse even the ones at Muir Woods and this grove has less underbrush because of a fire a few years ago. Also, this park is way off the beaten path, so…Full review by Dlsio4

It was a very long drive with steep hills and winding roads and I didn’t think it was worth the 45 minute drive. Went to hike the trail and it was very very steep so we only made it halfway.Full review by Maurie J

The fall colors are gorgeous right now. Ukiah will offer you your regular type hotels: Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc There is also Vichy Springs Resort on the east side of Ukiah, Orr Springs Resort on the west side and on the road to Montgomery Woods. Orr springs does allow naked bathing, so inquire completely. We have several weekend rental homes via Air BnB and VRBO. The Testa House at Testa Vineyards will give you a complete wine country vibe and is lovely. While in Ukiah beer and or wine taste. Look into eating at Schats Bakery, Patrona, Chop Chop, Saucy, Eddies Mexican...All in the downtown area of Ukiah off School St. Cute shopping surrounds these restaurants. FYI Please be prepared for the recent fire devastation in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties as you drive north on hwy 101 from SF. Many hotels are occupied with those who have been displaced. #wearestrong
