Founded in 1967, Oakland School is a small co-ed boarding and day school for students in grades 2-8 specializing in language-based learning and attention issues. Because of our size, we are able to tailor an academic program unique to the strengths and challenges of each child. Students graduate from Oakland with a newfound love of learning, a sense of self-worth, and respect for themselves and others. Oakland School is a member of the Virginia Association of Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF). Teachers are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
