Alonso homered in the fourth before Lindor snapped a 3-all tie an inning later. The Mets have won the last 26 games in which Lindor has homered, the second-longest streak in big league history behind the 29-game run authored by Carl Furillo and the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1951-53.

Edwin Diaz, who entered having retired 30 straight batters, gave up a leadoff single in the ninth to Sam Hilliard, but struck out the next three batters for his 13th save. In his last four games, Diaz has struck out 10 of 15 batters faced.

For the first time this season, Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto homered on the same day to provide all of the Mets runs in a 5-3 victory over the Rockies on an unseasonably chilly Sunday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd of 43,224 at Citi Field.

The Mets resumed the big boy portion of the schedule Monday night to the same success they had enjoyed on the last homestand.
