One of the two firefighters fatally shot in an ambush in Idaho on Sunday was from Wisconsin. A lone gunman opened fire on crews responding to a brush fire on Canfield Mountain Sunday, near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood was born in Neenah, Wis.

The suspect was found dead with a firearm nearby late Sunday, authorities said.

Two firefighters were killed and residents were ordered to shelter in place, but the order was lifted after police found a dead man in the woods.
