Ramírez surpassed Cleveland legends Albert Belle and Jim Thome, who each had 26 multi-homer games while playing for Cleveland. His record-breaking performance included a first-inning solo shot off Marlins starter Janson Junk and a decisive eighth-inning blast against reliever Calvin Faucher that broke a 3-3 tie.

José Ramírez became Cleveland's leader in multihome run games with a drive to right field in the eighth inning as the Guardians defeated the Miami Marlins 4-3 on Tuesday night. Ramírez had three hits and Kyle Manzardo also went deep as the Guardians won for the sixth time in seven games.

The Guardians began a six-game homestand against the Marlins and Atlanta Braves Aug. 12 that runs through the week. That will be followed by a six-game road trip beginning Aug. 18 against the Arizona Diamondbacks and then the Texas Rangers (Aug. 22-24).

Its Thursday, August 14 and the Marlins (58-62) are in Cleveland to wrap up their three-game series against the Guardians (62-57). Edward Cabrera is slated to take the mound for Miami against Tanner Bibee for Cleveland.
