PITTSBURGH — New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger is dealing with a familiar back injury, though he doesn’t “know how to really explain it.” He pointed to an area near his lower back and upper right hip.

Manager Aaron Boone was optimistic that he could have Bellinger back in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale. “I know there’s been incremental improvement the last couple days,” Boone said. “Hopefully available in some way today and hopefully back in there [Sunday].”

Cody Bellinger remains out of the Yankees' lineup on Saturday. But the Bronx Bombers got a positive update on Bellinger's status. Bellinger, dealing with a lower back injury, told reporters that he took swings in the batting cage on Saturday and is "feeling better.
