The driest October on record continues with our rain-free streak now up to 25 days. We’re giving you the FIRST ALERT to mild weather continuing through the end of the week.
First Alert: Tracking warm, dry weather this week
Out-the-door this morning temperatures are in the 40s and 50s. The clear and crisp start to the day will give way to a warm, sunny and dry afternoon. Highs will climb into the lower to middle 80s with east winds around 5 to 10 mph. Lows will again lower into the 50s overnight with a clear sky and light winds.
Jim’s First Alert Forecast: Staying mostly sunny and dry through the week
The great weather rolls on. Sunshine will dominate the skies on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs climbing into the upper 70s to near 80°. A few clouds will move through on Thursday as a weak cold front moves though but the clouds will not bring any raindrops with them. Temps will dip a touch behind the front to the low 70s Thursday and Friday.

This October is presently tied with October 1924 as one of the driest October’s on record. According to the National Weather Service, no rain fell in October 1924. October 2016 had a trace of rain for the entire month, and October 1938 had 0.05” for the entire month.
