Two people have died and another two are missing after major flooding in New South Wales (NSW) left more than 50,000 people under evacuation warnings.

Australia, has resulted in three fatalities and left one person missing. The flooding, described by Premier Chris Minns as the worst some communities have experienced in a lifetime, has been driven by three days of intense rain hitting the mid-north coast and Hunter regions.

At least three people were killed, one still missing, and tens of thousands stranded as raging floodwaters inundated towns, causing power cuts and road closures in Australia's New South Wales (NSW) state, media reports said Thursday.
