Today, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and partners announced the final results and winners of the 2025 Florida Python Challenge. During this year’s ten-day competition, 934 participants collectively removed a record 294 invasive Burmese pythons from South Florida.

The annual competition to raise awareness and eliminate the invasive Burmese python was held July 10-20, 2025 in the Everglades.

The number of Python Challenge participants has fluctuated through the years including a high of nearly 1,600 in 2013. Meet the 2025 winner, Taylor Stanberry.
