Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed on Thursday to pursue, track and punish terrorists and their backers in a strong reaction to a deadly militant attack on tourists in Kashmir, where police have identified two of the gunmen as Pakistani.

India has blocked the official X (Twitter) account of the Government of Pakistan. The move followed a shooting in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The attack killed 26 people and injured several others. India blamed Pakistan without any investigation.

India announced a series of retaliatory actions, and hinted at the possibility of more, in response to what it called Pakistan’s support of terrorism on Indian soil.
