Police were in the 2500 block of Laporte Avenue in Fort Collins and asked residents to stay inside Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency responders alerted the community about police activity in Fort Collins, asking the public near the 2500 block of Laporte Avenue to stay indoors.

Parents received emails from schools this week requiring them to excuse absences if students plan to participate.
