More than 70 years have passed since Roger Banniser became the first human to clock a sub-4 minute mile. Now, Faith Kipyegon looks to etch her name in history as the first woman to accomplish the feat Thursday in Paris.

Faith Kipyegon's run is coming up shortly on Thursday, June 26. Her previous best mile time is 4:07.64. To break four minutes, she'll have to take two seconds off per lap from that best-ever mile in her life, which she ran almost two years ago.
