Monday is a NEXT Weather Alert Day for tropical downpours and an elevated flash flood risk. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch from Monday afternoon through the evening for the following Pennsylvania counties: Berks, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Lehigh, Bucks, Northampton and Philadelphia.
The deluge caused a ground stop for about an hour at PHL. The issues from the storm snowballed to cause problems for passengers on Tuesday.
Severe storms moved through the Philadelphia region on Tuesday, July 8 bringing heavy rains, strong winds, hail and several tornado warnings.
