South Korea’s joint investigation unit has requested an arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol over his brief imposition of martial law on December 3, in what is the first arrest warrant sought for a sitting South Korean president.
Investigators attempted to arrest impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol at his residence over a failed martial law bid but were blocked by his security forces.
