An hours-long search for a man suspected of killing a young woman in Richmond Heights is over after Mayfield Heights Police said he was found dead from an "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot” wound.

Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide. Richmond Heights Police Department responded on the evening of March 4 to 911 calls of multiple gunshots in the area of 440 Richmond Park East, according to a news release.

Authorities say Shamar Summerall shot a woman Tuesday in Richmond Heights before taking his own life Wednesday morning in Mayfield Heights.
