Rick Derringer, a former teen star who went on to have a six-decade rock and roll career, has died. He was 77. Variety reported that his caretaker, Tony Wilson, announced the news. Derringer died Monday in Ormond Beach, Florida. No cause of death was provided, but Variety reported that he had been in “ill health” for several months.
