Opening statements in the trial of Maxwell Anderson began on Wednesday. Anderson is accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson. New surveillance video, body camera video and witness testimony were all presented during the first week.

"Sade Carleena Robinson — she was the most beautiful girl in the world," said Kara Quinnell, who met Robinson in kindergarten, at Robinson's May 2024 memorial. "Her laugh was contagious. … She was confident in the best way possible. … She was unstoppable and not in an arrogant way."
