Sesame Street wrests control of X account back from vile anti-semitic Elmo impersonator
Sesame Workshop confirmed in a statement to Variety on Monday morning that the account had in fact been “compromised by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts.” The spokesperson confirmed that the “account has since been secured.”

"Elmo's X account was briefly compromised yesterday by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. The account has since been secured," a spokesperson for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, said in a statement to ABC News on Monday.
The now-deleted posts seemingly showed the beloved Muppet calling for violence against Jews and making anti-Trump statements.
Horrific posts on the "Sesame Street" character's X account only remained online for a short period, but still went viral.
