The shortstop felt a pop in his shoulder as he dove to his right in the eighth inning of Saturday’s loss to the Rays. He was in quite a bit of pain, but eventually stayed in the game after a lengthy visit with manager Aaron Boone and head athletic trainer Tim Lentych.

Designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbows), starting pitcher Luis Gil (lat), and swingman Marcus Stroman (knee) remain out indefinitely. Former All-Star third baseman DJ LeMahieu (calf and hip) is on a rehab assignment at Double-A Somerset.
