(Reuters) -World number two Carlos Alcaraz has joined the list of big names skipping next week's Canadian Open in Toronto with the Spaniard saying he needs to focus on recovering from muscle issues after losing to Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon final.

Several top tennis stars, including Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Jack Draper, and Aryna Sabalenka, have withdrawn from the upcoming tournaments in Toronto and Montreal. The pullouts come a week after Wimbledon finished with little turnaround time after French Open on clay.
