Barcelona won a fifth straight LaLiga game by beating Las Palmas 2-0 and reclaiming top spot from Atlético Madrid in a thrilling Saturday evening at the summit of the Spanish top-flight.

Barcelona took the lead in La Liga with a hard-fought and tight win over Rayo Vallecano last weekend. They experienced an equally challenging and worthy opponent last night in Las Palmas as they took to the field at Gran Canaria.

Barça have ensured they stay top of the La Liga for at least another week with a 2-0 victory in the Canary Islands. The pressure was on after a 3-0 win at Valencia had moved Atlético Madrid into pole position, but the Catalans got their part of the job done thanks to goals from Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres.

Dani Olmo scored after coming off the bench to help Barcelona win 2-0 at Las Palmas on Saturday and stay top of the Spanish league. Lamine Yamal linked up with Olmo to find a seam in the hosts’ defense in the 62nd minute.
