Historic rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid collided in Saudi Arabia on Sunday when the Blaugranas won the Spanish Super Cup with a 3-2 win.

For the fourth consecutive time, the Supercopa de España will come down to an El Clásico between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barcelona took down Athletic Club in a 5-0 rout in the semifinals while Real Madrid squeezed by Atletico Madrid by a 2-1 score in Xabi Alonso's first season as manager of the club.

Barca is currently impressing in more than just La Liga and recently snagged a top-eight finish in the Champions League, sealing its spot with two conclusive victories over Copenhagen and Slavia Prague. Mallorca doesn’t have quite the same level of distraction on its plate, though that alone may not be enough to turn the dial in Catalonia.
