DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced the military operation in a post on X and released the thermal footage. Noem said troops conducted back-to-back coordinated boarding of two “ghost fleet” tanker ships — "one in the North Atlantic Sea and one in international waters near the Caribbean.

The tanker, the Olina, is the fifth to be boarded or seized by U.S. forces in recent weeks as part of an effort to control Venezuela’s oil exports.

The vessel had departed Venezuela attempting to evade US forces.
