One person was killed in a multi-car crash on the northbound 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least one person died after an SUV careened off a freeway overpass in the Inland Empire, authorities say. A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol’s Inland Division confirmed to KTLA that a Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound on the 210 Freeway plunged over 100 feet down an embankment at the interchange with the 215 Freeway

Authorities say two people have died and several other people were injured in a Madera County crash involving a car that crashed into a big rig and rolled over.

The California Highway Patrol says that despite life-saving measures, the driver succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jorge Everardo Preciado, 28, was taken into custody following the crash on suspicion of felony child endangerment.
