The Memphis Fire Department and the American Red Cross are doing their part to ensure people are educated on fire safety.

To help mitigate these numbers, there's "Sound the Alarm." This is a program in which the Red Cross will install around 1,600 free smoke detectors at homes across Georgia throughout March.
