Tropical Storm watches and warnings remain in effect for parts of the northern Gulf Coast as Tropical Storm Bertha continues to move northwest, the National Hurricane Center announced Tuesday.

Tropical Storm Bertha became the second named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season July 20.

The storm was about 70 miles (115 kilometers) southwest of Panama City, Florida, packing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph as it crawled northwest toward the coast, hurricane hunter planes found.
