Officials say a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gates of a Shiite mosque in Islamabad, killing dozens of people during Friday prayers.

A suicide bomber killed at least 31 people and injured 169 during Friday prayers at a Shiite Muslim mosque in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, authorities said.

"The attacker was stopped at the gate and detonated himself," a security source said.
