ABC Could Return to YouTube TV, but Only If This Happens
YouTube is standing firm on keeping ABC off YouTube TV until it and Disney can agree on the terms laid out in its proposal. Details ahead.
“Unfortunately, Google’s YouTube TV has chosen to deny their subscribers the content they value most by refusing to pay fair rates for our channels, including ESPN and ABC,” a Disney spokesperson told Variety Magazine in a report on Oct. 30.
Disney and YouTube TV still haven’t struck a deal. ABC and ESPN remain off the platform despite talks to restore them for Election Day coverage.
Viewers who have YouTube TV subscriptions can no longer see Disney channels after the two sides failed to agree on a new content distribution deal.
