Before you can apply for an online passport renewal, you'll need to create a MyTravelGov account, which uses the government's login.gov system. If you don't already have a login.gov account, you can visit MyTravelGov, click on the blue Sign In button in the top-right corner, then click on Create an account.

Apple Watch and iPhone owners in the United States will now be able to carry a copy of their U.S. passport on their device, which they can then use at TSA checkpoints across more than 250 U.S. airports when traveling domestically.

“Anything that compromises the passport’s original condition or identity information ― such as water stains, rips, missing pages, unauthorized notations, hole punches, dog bites and damages on the front cover ― deems a passport beyond normal wear and tear,” Alwadish said.
