Andy Samberg has returned to his Lonely Island musical roots for a new Super Bowl ad with Hellmann’s — and his partner in sandwich crime is none other than newly minted Oscar nominee Elle Fanning.

The comedian and actor channels his inner Neil Diamond for the Unilever spread.

The pair opened up about the much-anticipated ad, shot at Los Angeles’ Canter’s Deli, in interviews with PEOPLE ...

The 47-year-old comedian originally joined the NBC sketch series in 2003.

Fanning says the concept, which sees Samberg channeling his Lonely Island days as "Meal Diamond" was a natural fit for her: "I put [mayonnaise] on everything, so it was kind of perfect for me." ...
