Ohio State women’s basketball takes down Kent State 88-68 behind strong third quarter
The Ohio State women’s basketball team was back in action Wednesday night, taking down the Kent State Golden Flashes 88-68 at the Schottenstein Center. The Buckeyes (3-1) dropped their first game of the season on Sunday to No. 1 UConn 100-68, but bounced back against the now 3-3 Flashes. Ohio State is now 3-0 at home.
The No. 1 Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0) are saying all the right things ahead of the game, but those covering them see the result as a bygone conclusion: With the rivalry game against Michigan coming up next week, Ohio State is playing “probably the most important tune-up in school history,” according to one of the many outlets covering the Buckeyes.
Magoon Gwath is set to make his much-anticipated season debut when his San Diego State Aztecs host a Troy team that will be playing its third game in five days
