The National Weather Service issues a variety of weather warnings and advisories. Here's what they mean in Michigan.
Since the initial advisory, the storm has grown in strength and severity as meteorologists now expect as much as three feet of snow in some areas. As a result of the increased threat, issue a blizzard warning for parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota, warning of “dangerous” and “potentially life-threatening” conditions.
A winter storm watch has been issued in the Twin Cities, where heavy snow is expected to fall across much of Sunday, while strong winds could bring blizzard conditions to central parts of Minnesota.
