Friday afternoon in the nation's capital, the path to the 2026 World Cup will become clearer for 42 of the 48 teams competing in this year's extravaganza.

They play Australia in Seattle on June 19 at 3 p.m. before taking on a playoff winner in LA on June 25 at 10 p.m.

The United States men's national team will learn its first three opponents at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Friday.
