The Boston Celtics’ pursuit of an NBA championship came to an abrupt end earlier than expected during the playoffs this season. With the disappointment of a premature exit, the offseason has become a time of uncertainty for many players on the roster.

It would take a “pretty insurmountable” offer for the Celtics to trade Jaylen Brown or Derrick White, according to a new report.

The usual suspects have been Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, both of whom will be paid over $30 million next season. Boston is better with them than without them, but they are more expendable than some of their other players on nine-figure contracts, like Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.
