Oklahoma Sooners HC Brent Venables let it all out and didn't hold back during a self assessment of his 2024 season originally appeared on A to Z Sports.

Venables proved just two years ago that he can clear 6.5 wins and do so by a wide margin. That was in the Big 12, though. Pulling the program out of the muck is far more challenging in the SEC than it would have been in the pre-conference realignment era.

It didn't take long for Venables to point out a couple of key differences between last year and this year. The fourth-year head coach told reporters, in response to the first question he was asked, that he believes Oklahoma's roster in 2025 is better overall than it was in 2024.
