The new BBC documentary Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home features footage from the final three years of his life, up to and including his farewell concert on July 5. The documentary was first announced in 2022 as Home to Roost and was conceived as a three-part series, but became a one-hour special as Osbourne's health deteriorated over the years.

Following Osbourne’s death, Deadline revealed two weeks back that the BBC was l ocked in conversations over the future of the documentary series about the Osbourne family, which was originally conceived in 2022 as Home to Roost, a spiritual successor to MTV’s anarchic mid-noughties series The Osbournes.

Ozzy died at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22, 17 days after he reunited onstage with his fellow Black Sabbath co-founders for their final show together at Back To The Beginning. His cause of death was revealed earlier this week as cardiac arrest.
