A fter losing to the New York Yankees on Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals have now lost five consecutive games and six of their last eight. On Monday, they will kick off a three-game series against the Miami Marlins in hopes of getting things back on track.

And unfortunately, according to an announcement from the Cardinals, Arenado isn't alone on the injured list. Brendan Donovan is being placed on the injured list, retroactive to August 15th, with a left groin strain.

The All-Star infielder has missed games recently with left groin tightness and is also dealing with a toe injury.
