Travelers heading home for the holidays, or anywhere for that matter, may run into fewer flight options. Avelo Airlines is pulling out of Bradley International Airport, and the decision is raising questions from travelers and airport officials.
Earlier this month, also at Tweed, the budget airline, which said it has 30 nonstop destinations from the New Haven airport, said it had new deal for travelers, on base fares, and offered “20% off + additional exclusive savings for Avelo PLUS members.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, flight reductions will remain capped at 6%, avoiding an anticipated increase to 10% that was expected Friday. While Bradley itself did not experience major operational setbacks, the FAA restricted flights at several airports it flies to, which triggered delays and 14 cancellations as of last Friday.
