NEW YORK -- For a three-week period in the New York Jets ' offseason -- from the Feb. 13 announcement that Aaron Rodgers would be released to the start of free agency in March -- Tyrod Taylor was thought to be a fallback option for the starting quarterback job.

Last year with the Steelers, Fields was 4-2 as the starter, threw for five touchdowns, one interception, while having a career-high completion percentage of 65.8, and throwing for 1,106 yards. He also had 289 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

As Fields now prepares to play for his third team in the NFL, Pennington, who played for the Jets for eight seasons -- completing an impressive 65.6% of his passes for 13,738 yards and 82 TDs -- said that the Green & White's new quarterback has been learning in each of his three stops along the way.
