A class action lawsuit has been filed against Live Nation, accusing it of not securing user information after an April 2024 hack of Ticketmaster that harvested the personal info of more than 560 million customers.

Live Nation's CEO, Michael Rapino, and his company have been hit with a proposed multi-million-dollar class action following a data breach earlier this year.

In April, the hacker group ShinyHunters accessed Ticketmaster’s database. It harvested the full names, addresses, emails, phone numbers and credit card information on up to 560 million customers. The Live Nation -owned company took nearly two months to discover the breach and four months to notify impacted users.

Michael Rapino recently expressed support for capping ticket resale prices in the US, marking a significant shift for the company. Speaking at the Bloomberg Screentime conference, Rapino said,

A legal firm says it is investigating allegations of "deceptive, misleading or unconscionable conduct". The ticketing company says it is not responsible for setting prices.
