Authorities have now identified the three people who went missing in the water near Rattlesnake Falls in Soda Springs. The Placer County Sheriff's Office said a group of six men was hiking in the area.

The three men had been hiking in Soda Springs, Calif., when they jumped into the water near Rattlesnake Falls, a remote and isolated area that made rescue difficult.

The men vanished after jumping into the icy water near Soda Springs on June 18, officials said. Stockton diver Juan Heredia found them Sunday.
