In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said that Mohammed Siraj should have been part of the India squad for the Champions Trophy in place of Ravindra Jadeja. In fact, Chopra also disagreed with India's decision of picking three spin bowling all-rounders namely Jadeja,

" Varun Chakaravarthy is picking up wickets one after the other. He has done well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy also. He took a five-wicket haul against Rajasthan and has been continuously doing well. Since he has returned to the Indian T20I team, he has been picking up wickets every single time," Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to make himself available for Ranji Trophy matches, playing for Saurashtra against Delhi. Meanwhile, Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran is out for three weeks due to a finger injury.
