Google is working on a redesigned media output switcher in Android 16 Beta 4, updating a UI mostly unchanged since Android 11.

In the current version of the design in Android 15 and before, the media output switcher places this button in the list with the other devices. It also has it remain at the bottom at all times.

A Windows Insider Build shows a vastly improved volume mixer in quick settings, with access to output devices and individual app volume.

To use multiple Audio Outputs at the same time on Windows 11/10 use Stereo Mix and multiple Playback Devices or free tool called Voicemeeter.

This seems like a really obvious thing I am somehow missing... but how do you set a default audio device for output? I have like a million, because I have 3 monitors that all support audio ...
