A North Georgia school district closed its buildings Friday to take preventative measures because of the flu and norovirus.
According to the Polk County School District, there have been “excessive” student absences related to the norovirus and flu.
The district says it currently has nearly 800 students and more than 60 staff members with reported illnesses.
