Other media outlets have reported that H-E-B bought the land to build a store at a later date, although no timetable was offered. Rhome City Council on Jan. 23 approved a development agreement with the company. After the vote, Rhome Mayor Kenneth Crenshaw said the company would build in the near future, the Wise County Messenger reported.
