Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's availability for the 2025 season is in jeopardy after additional tests revealed that he ruptured his Achilles again. Multiple media outlets reported Friday that Watson met with Dr. Robert Anderson before undergoing the surgery on Thursday. Watson initially tore his right Achilles tendon on Oct. 20.

Stefanski called plays for the first seven games of last season, during which time the Browns went 1-6 with Deshaun Watson at the helm. He then turned it over to offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, who called plays mostly for Jameis Winston. Winston averaged more than 300 yards during his seven starts, but the Browns went 2-5 in those games.
With that said, Browns insider Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland/The Land on Demand recently suggested that Cleveland could pass on Ward and Sanders to target Alabama's Jalen Milroe during the draft. Milroe had the previously mentioned Rees as his offensive coordinator during the 2023 college season.

He made the announcement during an introductory press conference for new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
While introducing new coordinator Tommy Rees on Wednesday, Stefanski, who had exclusively called plays during his first four years with Cleveland before turning them over midway through last season to Ken Dorsey, said he's reverting to his former ways.
