Neymar's move from Al-Hilal to Brazilian club Santos means the Saudi Pro League has lost one of its most high-profile players.

Neymar and Al-Hilal have come to an agreement to terminate the player’s contract by mutual consent, the club announced on Monday.

Neymar and Al Hilal will part ways after the Brazilian soccer star and the Saudi Pro League agreed “to terminate their contractual relationship by mutual consent,” the club announced Monday. His departure opens the door for a reported return to his youth club in Brazil.

The Saudi Pro League has been a top destination for top players since Cristiano Ronaldo joined in 2023. Neymar and other players regretted joining the league.

According to a report by Real Madrid Confidencial, Al-Hilal are looking at Los Blancos star Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Neymar Jr.

Al-Hilal don't seem to be too affected as one of their high profile players, Neymar has left the SPL and moved to Santos FC.
