A 19-year-old man has been accused of setting a fire at a building that includes Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman's office because of the short-lived TikTok ban. The Fond du Lac Police Department said the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Sunday at a strip mall at 525 N. Peters Ave. that is home to the Republican 6th District congressman's office.

Of Wisconsin’s eight-member House delegation, only Democratic Reps. Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore voted against the TikTok ban, citing an impediment on American user’s free speech rights. Shortly after the TikTok ban went into effect, Pocan wrote in a social media post Sunday that the ban was “Congress and the executive branch at their worst.”

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Fond du Lac police say they arrested a 19-year-old Menasha man early Sunday, Jan. 19 for allegedly setting fire to an office space leased to U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman (R-WI).

Caden Stachowicz, 19, of Menasha, is charged with arson, making terrorist threats, attempted burglary and criminal damage.
