COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith revealed that he still wasn’t 100% when he returned to play against Michigan and Indiana in the Big Ten Championship game. Smith wasn’t even completely confident he would play against the Wolverines as he dealt with a quad strain that should’ve sidelined him for three-to-four to four weeks.
Two days later, Kyle Whittingham stepped down as head football coach at the University of Utah after 21 seasons. Many assumed that Whittingham was going to retire, but The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel first reported that day that Whittingham “is not retiring, and could seek other coaching opportunities.”
