The NHL has handed a fine to a Toronto Maple Leafs forward for an illegal hit against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Toronto’s Max Domi has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for elbowing Philadelphia’s Garnet Hathaway. The elbow from Domi came in the third period of Sunday's 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers. The 29-year-old forward was assessed an elbowing penalty on Hathaway 5:13 into the final frame.
